Visit Ventura

Opening in 2002, Fusion Home was established by a husband and wife team.

Brad, a hair and makeup artist to the stars met Cynthia, a wardrobe stylist/fashion editor in Miami on a photoshoot. After extensive traveling and settling beachside in Ventura they opened the store as a project for Cynthia who was spending time at home with their daughter, Ula.

Whether on a photoshoot for Elle or shopping for Fusion Home, Cynthia has a taste for simple yet eclectic elegance.

Brad brings in the masculine balance to the store with preferences for rich, handsome pieces and his experience with wood finishing and building.

Along with their daughters, they travel extensively to bring unique pieces to their customers.

Some of the countries of origin represented in their shop are Holland, England, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Norway, Japan, Singapore, India, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Colombia, Nepal and the United States. Their first furniture line, designed by Brad and Cynthia was built in Holland in June 2003.

Due to the small size of their showroom and their preference for minimalist display, they offer their customers a wide variety of in-stock items in various colors and sizes at their warehouse location. If you don't see it - ASK!

Brad and Cynthia chose the name Fusion because they did not want to be tied down to one style.

With a deep appreciation for great design regardless of era, they fuse contemporary, traditional, asian and european looks with a zen-american lifestyle. The one thing all items in the shop have in common are that they are not mass produced. Brad and Cynthia avoid "Made in China or Taiwan" labels unless pieces are of artisan quality.

Fusion Home is commited to finding and carrying items that are ecologically sound.

The words Respect Recycle Restore appear as part of their logo. Respect for indigenous people and their trade. Respect for our environment, whether it is one room in your home or the world. Recycle is self evident. And Restore is the effect of the first two. Restoration of harmony and balance in both our home and to the world's resources. There are so many materials available on this earth that used creatively would seem wonderfully unusual to you: shell bowls, weeds like bamboo, water hyacinth and rattan woven into furniture and accessories, a hurricane lantern made of old recycled glass that casts a beautiful texture and a halo when a lit candle is placed in it. Trying to avoid as many unnecessary chemicals as possible such as plastics, lacquers and petroleum candles which can affect your home's air quality, are also part of Fusion Home's mission.

Recycled teak, 100 year old pine Austrian barn flooring furniture, self sustainable bamboo and hemp products, soy and beeswax candles, inherently organic towels and robes made of Norwegian birch bark, stain resistant rugs made of recycled plastic bottles and recycled glass hurricane lanterns are some of the alternative items.

Fusion Home has developed an eclectic following of customers: locals, celebrities, artists, set stylists, out of towners.

You might find Fusion Home pieces in movies, hotels, magazines and commercials, a New York loft, a Spanish style Villa in Laguna Beach, a vacation home in Hawaii or in a barnhouse in Ohio!
